Summary

Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus.

Ellery's never been to Echo Ridge, but she's heard all about it. It's where her aunt went missing at age 16, never to return. Where a homecoming queen's murder five years ago made national news. And where Ellery now has to live with a grandmother she barely knows, after her failed-actress mother lands in rehab. No one knows what happened to either girl, and Ellery's family is still haunted by their loss.

Malcolm grew up in the shadow of the homecoming queen's death. His older brother was the prime suspect and left Echo Ridge in disgrace. His mother's remarriage vaulted her and Malcolm into Echo Ridge's upper crust, but their new status grows shaky when mysterious threats around town hint that a killer plans to strike again. No one has forgotten Malcolm's brother - and nobody trusts him when he suddenly returns to town.

Ellery and Malcolm both know it's hard to let go when you don't have closure. Then another girl disappears, and Ellery and Malcolm were the last people to see her alive. As they race to unravel what happened, they realize every secret has layers in Echo Ridge. The truth might be closer to home than either of them wants to believe.

And somebody would kill to keep it hidden.

Okay

It's okay. I like Karen McManus and always look forwards to reading her books, but the audibles are disappointing

Gripping story

This is the best story from Karen McManus I have listened to so far. I usually figure out plot twists quite quickly but I was surprised more than once while listening to this story. Also enjoyed Kirby Heyborne’s narration.

Average story

Found the story was long winded the characters didn’t really have individual personalities. Enjoyed the ending liked the narrators

Well worth a listen.

Entertaining little 'whodunnit' from 2 different perspectives. Nothing revolutionary but kept me guessing and engaged. Good narration, easy voices to listen to.

Beautiful orchestrated

Masterpiece, for a young adult novel. A brilliant and accurate representation of the teenage mind and the script that often occupies their minds. An ending that leaves with shivers up your spine. Well done!

pretty decent listen

so I quite enjoyed this, maybe not the performance as much as the story line, but wasn't too bad, and was easy enough to listen to.

Not bad

The story was good, a bit different as the main characters were teenagers. The narrators did a good job but the male voice took a little getting used to! But the book didn't particularly keep my attention and I was getting a bit bored with it by the end.

This is incredible

I'm not a big reader but I loved this. The storylines, twists and turns. I was hooked. I've never read a book so quickly.
