Summary

Brought to you by Puffin.

The second audiobook in this number one, bestselling series from the creator of Percy Jackson.

Thor's hammer is missing again.

The thunder god has a habit of misplacing his weapon - which happens to be the mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. But this time the hammer isn't just lost, it has fallen into enemy hands.

Magnus Chase and his friends must find it, fast. If they don't, the mortal worlds will be defenceless against an onslaught of giants, and the Nine Worlds will burn. But the only person who can help them is the gods' worst enemy, Loki - and the price he wants is very high.

Loving the series

Story was yet another great entry. I honestly love every character with my favourites being Harth and Alex.
I have to say I love the representation in these books and it's very refreshing and really adds to the characters and world.

Performance from the narrator was great too.

Another Riordan Classic

I have read many of his books but to hear them brought to life in audio is fantastic. Culkin's approach and delivery is amazing it's a must hear. This is the 2nd of the Magnus Chase trilogy and is as excellent as the first, cannot wait to listen to the final one. If you love adventure and mythology check this series out.

A great continuation

I was hooked from the start to the very end (that cliffhanger). It was great to see the characters relationships develop and the implication of new ones was perfect. Had a very modern appeal with gender fluid characters. Difficult to explain in word how much I enjoyed it, and I am already impatiently waiting for the next instalment.

Enjoyable

Whilst the book and characters are just as good as in the previous instalment, it was a little hard to listen at first as the voice has changed. However, that doesn't take away from the overall experience and after a while, you don't notice. Altogether good and enjoyable (Very glad to have Alex Fierro).
