About this listen
What happens when love brings loss? When love brings lies? When love brings hate?
Olivia and her twin brother, Aidan, are heading alone back to Earth following the virus that wiped out the rest of their crew and their family in its entirety. Nathan is part of a community heading in the opposite direction.
But on their journey, Nathan's ship is attacked and most of the community killed. Only a few survive. Their lives unexpectedly collided, Nathan and Olivia are instantly attracted to each other, deeply, head over heels - like nothing they have ever experienced. But not everyone is pleased.
Surrounded by rumours, deception, even murder, is it possible to live out a happy ever after?

Lots of potential, sadly falls short
It starts out very compelling, but the book is too long for the actual storyline: the middle dragged with nothing much happening. Vee and Nathan were strong characters, although the romance was rushed and over the top, and there were moments where their actions felt dissonant to their established personalities. Every other character was forgettable. The world building had my intrigued, although it never went into enough depth to satisfy. The twists were predictable, and the ending was completely dissatisfying.
The shifting of perspective between Vee and Nathan worked well at the start, however as the story focused on Vee for the latter third, Nathan's perspective became neglected and the strategy as a whole fell apart.
Combined with often unemotive and flat voice acting, the book ultimately left me feeling frustrated.

Amazing
I love this book. I also have the physical copy by I have been dying to listen to the audio version and it was beautiful. I shed tears as beautiful as this was.
