About this listen

The unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Clive Cussler's dark adventure, Trojan Odyssey, part of the thrilling Dirk Pitt series. Read by the award-winning narrator Scott Brick.

Dirk Pitt battles his most dangerous foe ever - with help from a very unexpected source.

There is a black tide infesting the ocean off the shore of Nicaragua. Whilst trying to determine its origin, startling things begin to occur and the inhabitants of a floating resort find themselves directly in the path of a violent storm. Dirk and the NUMA crew rush to their rescue, but they discover that there is an all-too-human evil at work and the black tide is only a by-product of its plan. Soon its work will be complete - and the world will be a very different place....

Great story, shocking editing

A great story from Cussler as always, but this sounds like it was recorded in a busy office, not anything resembling a voice over booth. the background noise is very distracting at times, and the lazy editing has the lady sentence of one chapter running into the title of the next.

Good book rubbish audio

Great story as usual. My only issue with the book was the audio. Very monotone. Sounded like it was recorded in a cave then it was at a different pitch as if bits had been re recorded.
The audio could do with a make over.

Another gripping Pitt adventure

The historical references alone give rise to interest, but as ever Cussler maintains the pace to keep you enthralled.
The dubbing effects of the audible not too great on this story though. A background hiss and sudden breaks.
A small negative to an outstanding listen.

Dirk is not the sharpest knife in the drawer!

A great read and good story, let down for me by Dirks lack of forethought and the consequences of his lack of actions! After sixteen books and many battles, our hero's should be battle hardened and not battle weary! However Dirks propensity to allow the villains to escape certain capture, by making ludicrous decisions, starts to grate after a while. Also the identity of Spectre became rather obvious by the end of the second chapter, along with the outcomes of other scenarios! Not withstanding this, the book is still a good read for lovers of the Dirk Pitt series, but l'm glad I bought the book at a discount! Next...Black Wind!
