Summary
They woke up in the trunk of a car,
with no idea where they were,
or why,
or when.
Imagine The Bourne Identity meets The Firm.
________________________________________
Two blood-spattered strangers awake, locked in the trunk of a car - with a murdered cop and the smoking gun. Aside from raging headaches and no idea what's happened, they appear to have nothing in common. Troy thinks it's 2001 and he's still a combat surgeon fighting terrorists in Afghanistan. Emmy believes it's 2002 and she's still grifting a living from the streets of LA.
Are they archenemies or co-conspirators? Lovers or friends? What are they doing in the Caribbean, and why is a Croatian assassin determined to kill them? The only thing they know for certain is that they'll be spending the rest of their lives in prison if the police catch them before they learn the truth.

It starts with a flash but ends with a bang
I really enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it. It is a very cleverly crafted plot to which the author has put a lot of thought into with regards to how people would act or feel and the distrust and suspicion it leads to. Definitely a roller coaster ride for the characters as well as the listener.
What happens when you wake up in a car boot next to a dead policeman and no memory of how you got there. This is the dilemma facing Troy in this book. Should he run and try to work out what has happened or stay and hope the police aren't trigger happy (over the death of a colleague) and work out what happened. The only problem is he is not the only person to wake up with no memory. Things just take off from there and don't stop until the end. Lots of twist and turns to keep you interested until the very last page.
I like the narrator and he is one of the most recognisable readers out there for a reason.

Usual Tim Tigner quality-outstanding
Dastardly plot brilliantly told with some great characters. The narrator does a fantastic job bringing story and characters to life. I very much enjoyed this book.

Most enjoyable
Tim Tigner is a new author to me, however I will be searching out more of his work. This book kept me hooked right to the end - I like it when everyone gets their just desserts!
I’m hoping there will be a follow on from here, I’m just going to check it out :)
