Really enjoyed these books
Great story loved the different perspective and followed the changes perfectly. I love that a good amount of time is spent getting to know all the main characters and the fate of the world doesn't fall in the hands of one child lol. this is quite a family orientated atory and i can't wait to read the next books.

great fun fantasy
Good story, good characters.
decent motivation for all parties concerned, great contrast of good and evil; very good world building done throughout.
great performance.
this story is not too convoluted, nor is it too dull or streamlined.
part of me wants to score it lower because nothing seems 'outstanding', but I honestly can't find any fault with it either, so it gets the full five stars.
I'll be buying the rest, for sure.

Fantastic fantasy epic
I'm loving this epic full of likeable characters. I could've had a whole series with just the caravan.
But the addition of Wizards from the present day experimenting with new magic powers is a welcome twist that I really enjoyed too 😊

Loved it!
I really enjoyed this audio book. I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series. I am also going to take a look at the authors other works. Well worth a read.

Kept me listening …
Was getting into the folks in book one and then the plot change threw me a bit didn’t know quite how the threads would knit together with the family on the dad trip kayaking about … but go with it the story picks up from there … and I have long believed cheese is the ultimate power food !!

Solid fantasy
I narration was really good, and the story entertaining.
I felt that it was maybe a little to “easy” for some of the main characters. Given up on all they know and love and just adopting a strange new world, with strange new powers.
But that being said, I’m as entertained from start to finish
