About this listen

From the trenches of France, General Sean Courtney comes back to fame, fortune and a seat in the government. Mark Anders, the courageous young South African whom he has come to regard as his own son, returns to nothing, his grandfather murdered and his property seized by an unknown company.

At the bottom of the mystery is Sean's son Dirk, the jealous, violent and power-crazed genius whose all-consuming hatred can only end in blood....

A Sparrow Falls is the thrilling third novel in the Courtney series, continuing from When the Lion Feeds and The Sound of Thunder.

A magnificent end to a wonderful trilogy

I read when the lion feeds many years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it . However, reading it again, together with the enthralling narration by Sean Barrett added so much depth to the story that I just had to keep reading the rest of the trilogy. I have always
been an avid reader but I can confidently say that this is probably the best advert there can be for Audible.

One of his best

Marvellously evocative and spellbinding story, I’ve been reading Wilbur Smith all my adult life, this early book is brought to life again by the narrator and kept me enthralled all over again,
Thank you.
