Not a great Audiobook Experience

The book provides a good factual overview of Americas role in the Vietnam war. It includes some good insight into the Leaders, the politics and the other players from North and South Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia and paints a good picture of the experience, reality and scale of the war.

However, there is little narrative and the presentation of the entire book comes across as a list of bullets that have been read by a text to speech algorithm. For example, reading the captions under pictures or diagrams that we cannot see and that are not described in any way. Finally, the use of the 'before and after' approach became quite tiresome and pronunciation errors began to grate after awhile.
