About this listen
Laura is a liberated and courageous young lady who is convinced that she can make a difference in the small town of Willow Valley. Standing on a tub in Town Square, she encourages all women to fight for their rights and stand up for their beliefs. Equality is her message.
When Deputy Davies meets Laura, he is intrigued with her independent nature. He admires her spunk and wonders if such a woman would be interested in a small town deputy like himself.

A gentle listen
This story is perfect for days when you want to listen to a gentle, soothing, and entertaining book.
William and Laura's story has the theme of women's rights woven through it. The author weaves historical facts and fiction in a lovely way.
I enjoyed the mystery aspect of this book as it added a little drama to the sweet romance. A dangerous and ruthless gang of thieves arrive when a Revival Meeting is on and the town is busy. Laura also finds an intruder in her home. Are the two incidents linked? Luckily Deputy Davies is there to help solve the problem and keep the town safe.
An entertaining read with good narration.
