About this listen
A trio of desperate convicts has hijacked a bus carrying a group of deaf and mute schoolgirls who are now being held hostage in a disused slaughterhouse. FBI agent Arthur Potter is flown in to negotiate with the men, as are local police, state troopers, politicians and the media. Not everyone has the same agenda. And the killers will kill one innocent child an hour, on the hour, until their demands are met.

Hostage Heroines
This has been made into a film with James Garner, don't let that put you off it!!!
A busload of deaf girls are taken hostage by three escaped criminals. The FBI are brought in to negotiate their release, but the leader of the gang doesn't follow the usual protocols.
This is a great listen, as it is really tense and Jeff Harding always does fab readthroughs.

Great Story
This was my first Jeffery Deaver book and I must admit I loved it. The story line kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I loved all the twists and turns and the end was a complete surprise.
I enjoyed then tone of the narrator and the different voices he used to portray each character. All in all a great book.

A good story, but very long-winded.
The concept is excellent and the storyline good, but I struggled to finish this book as it laboured its way to a predictable end.
