About this listen
I never said I was engaged to Alex Stone (a.k.a. the richest man in Eureka).... My douchey ex just assumed I was, and I didn’t correct him.
You see, I was having a moment. I was out of work, out of money, and Alex had just offered me a lifeline by hiring me to be his live-in nanny for a month. So when Drake the douche starts going on about what a hot mess I am at my best friend’s wedding, I kind of let him believe we were a thing. I never said the word fiancé, and I definitely never expected Alex to play along.
Alex Stone is one of those list-topping billionaire businessmen types. He’s controlled, formal, and never makes a bad decision. He’s also tall, dark, and brutally handsome, with smoky hazel eyes, wavy brown hair, and a bod that will melt your brain. (A detail I happen to know after accidentally catching him just out of the shower naked.)
The plan is he’ll secretly be my fake fiancé for the night, no harm done. But when the douche stays longer than the wedding, our “engagement” stops being a secret. And when Alex decides there are things we should know how to do if we’re engaged (like making out and sleeping together), my lie really gets out of control.
Because it’s one thing to be fake engaged to the hottest, richest man in town who also happens to be your live-in boss. It’s a little twist to find yourself falling in love with him.
A Little Twist is a steamy small-town single-dad/nanny romance with a fake engagement twist. No cheating. No cliff-hangers.

Alex & Cass!
Well steal my heart! Tia Louise has it now, and I don't want it back! This single dad, fake romance is so enjoyable, I could not stop listening! Cass and Alex knew each other as teenagers, but when things got too close, Alex bolted leaving a heart broken Cass. Fast forward to the present, Alex has an adorable daughter, owns his own business and Cass is back and needs a job. Nanny is open at the present time, and she easily fits into the role of taking care of Pinky. But when her ex comes to town and begins causing problems, a fake romance begins between Cass and Alex to throw him off. And our story really begins! Twists that make me laugh, turns that leave me frustrated and then happy, Louise weaves a romance that is impossible not to fall in love with. Pinky steals the show with her adorableness! And the romance that blossoms and grows is just icing on the cake. This small town is packed with characters, all who play an essential role and give the story humor and depth. I loved this one!
Connor Crais and Kirsten Leigh are our storytellers and they are fabulous. Crais comes in with that smooth warmth that melts me every time. And his dad tone is spot on when dealing with Pinky! Leigh is always amazing, and as Cass she keeps her feistiness while working on love and trust, each feeling evident and real. These two are magic and made this listen a joy to hear.

Alex and Cassidy!
Alex is not only a successful businessman, but he is also close to his family, is a great friend and his relationship with his daughter Penelope (Pinky) is endearing. With his mother going on vacation, he needs a nanny and who better than Cassidy, the woman he has had feelings for since he was a teenager.
Cassidy is at a crossroads and is trying to determine the next steps but the one thing she does know is that she doesn’t want it to include her ex so when he assumes she is engaged to Alex she doesn’t correct him. She now finds herself living in Alex’s home, looking after his adorable daughter and pretending they are engaged to her ex hoping their friends don’t find out. Let the fun begin!
The relationship between Alex and Cassidy has been years in the making and once they finally acknowledge it they fit in each others lives like two pieces of a puzzle. Although there was a little turmoil Alex wasn’t about to let anyone come between them and Pinky’s strong personality is sure to bring a smile to your face. The performance of the narrators brought out all the humor, the swoony romance and every emotion.

Fabulous Story & Listen🎧 Enthralling & Heartfelt!
This is a fabulous romance novel, a charming small-town, single dad/nanny, fake engagement romance that is captivating from start to end. I knew this book was going to be something special as soon as I started the prologue, a story that will stay with me for a very long time. I adored the lead characters, Cassidy “Cass” Dixon and Alex Stone, as well as his daughter Pinkie, an adorable four-year-old who steals the scenes and your heart, too. Cassidy and Alex first met when they were in their teens and it was an impressionable meeting, one neither will ever forget, especially Alex. Cass had just moved to Eureka to live with her Aunt Carol and Alex had just left his Pop's funeral. His Pop was his mentor and the person he looked up to the most. The story fast forwards sixteen years to the present, Alex is a single dad and doing well with the brewery. Cass is still trying to figure out her place in life and has tried out several careers, but is looking for the one that will be the most fulfilling. Right now she is planning her friend Britt’s wedding to Aiden Stone, which puts her back on Alex’s radar. After Alex discovers that his mother, who watches his daughter while he is at work, is planning on going on vacation, he must find a nanny as soon as possible, and he knows exactly who he wants, and not jsut as a nanny, but that will have to wait. When Cass sees her ex boyfriend, Drake, at the wedding, she slips and says she is with Alex, and Drake assumes they were engaged. Alex goes along with it, assuming Drake would leave Eureka soon, except he doesn’t, so they keep up the facade Cass falls in as the nanny beautifully gets along well with Pinkie and all is right in Alex’s world. Until Pinkie’s mother, who left her when she was just six-months-old decides she wants to be a mother and is back in their lives. This wonderfully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, charming wit and humor, heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Tia Louise, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 As for the superb narration, Connor Crais and Kirsten Leigh were amazing at bringing the characters and their story to life. They understood who they were portraying, giving each voice that was fitting to that character’s persona. I loved how they took each role, ran with it and made it their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters would sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. You could feel how much heart they put into their work as they captured all the characters’ emotions through their performance. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another amazing listen.
