About this listen

This is the diary of Claire Bullimore, a person who was diagnosed at the age of 25 with a life threatening intraventricular meningioma - in other words, a brain tumor the size of a grapefruit! It is not always easy for a person from the outside to see what is really happening to someone affected by a traumatic experience such as this. The book shows the true emotion of a person dealing with the hardships of a brain tumor, surgery, recovery, and then the scars inside and out. Written as a series of diary entries, this book will make you feel like you are there going through the journey. There is love, friendship, and courage - you will cry, laugh, and find things you didn't know before. This book can help families and friends or other outsiders to see what a brain tumor survivor really wants you to know.

I've cried all the way through this book

Trying to explain to someone who hasn't had to live with a brain tumour or seizures is impossible. the only people who know how your feel are those who feel the same.
When I tell someone I'm tired it's not just tired.
I recommend anyone to lives with this or knows someone who lives with this to read our listen to this book. You'll find out you're not alone and you'll discover a little bit about how our feels
Thankyou Claire for making me know I'm not alone

Great Listen

Really enjoyed this book
Claire really brings the story to life
I'm going through and still going through treatment of a brain tumour myself it was nice to hear another person's story
the book bought me to tears especially when Claire talks about the difficulties getting diagnosed and linking these with my life and long road to diagnosis
a really great listen for people who have/had a Brain tumour and also for people who have friends and family going through tumour treatment and trying to understand the issues Brain tumour patients are going through which people can't see or find difficult to understand
keep up the good work Claire

Lovely inspiring story

Would you consider the audio edition of A Brain Tumour's Travel Tale to be better than the print version?

Did read the print version but it was good to hear Claire's voice

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Made me laugh and cry

Any additional comments?

It shows the emotional and physical issues which come from having a brain tumour. Great way of raising awareness about brain tumours

Reassuring

Thank you Claire for taking the time to write this book. As a fellow brain tumour "survivor" I laughed and cried with you. The similarities in our journeys are uncanny. I hope one day I too find myself able to move forward and put my own experiences to good use.
