About this listen
Inspector Singh is back, but this time on secondment to Bali. A bomb has exploded and Singh has been sent to help with anti-terrorism efforts. But there's a slight problem: he knows squat about hunting terrorists. He's much better suited to solving murder!
So when a body is discovered in the wreckage, killed by a bullet before the bomb went off, Singh should be the one to find the answers - especially with the help of a wily Australian copper by his side. But simple murders are never as simple as they seem - and this one has far-reaching global consequences...

Really like the Inspector Singh Series
I would recommend these books, honest, fast moving and well narrated. Apart from interesting story, the book also gave an insight into other cultures

Excellent
Even without the fantastic narration of Jonathan Keeble I would highly recommend this book. Set in Bali it brings out the differences in culture across SE Asia whilst telling a great crime story.

Brilliant
I enjoyed the first Inspector Singh but this was even better.
Whoever said Jonathon Keebles Australian accent wasn’t good is talking rubbish. He was his usual excellent self.
I cannot recommend this book enough.
Looking forward to the next one

Exciting!
Totally enjoyed this novel and the exotic setting of Bali. The intrigue built up at a good pace as did the interesting characters! The also reader did a brilliant job too bringing the book to life, amazed he could do all the different accents - altogether a most enjoyable audiobook!

Great follow up.
I read the first in the series and enjoyed it enough to get the second in the series. This second book is even better than the first. Thank you Shamini Flint and thank you Jonathan Keeble for the excellent narration. I see there are plenty more in the series but after book 3 there are no more audible companions to the books. Come on Audible. Get a Jonathan on the case!!

Good story, good narrator, dreadful Aussie accents
I found this to be a well-written and enjoyable book, and I find Jonathan Keeble, for the most part, to be an excellent narrator. Except for his Australian accents. If not for that, I would have rated it four stars.
Don't get me wrong, other accents the narrator does are good, and I very much like Jonathan Keeble so I hate to be critical of him. But the Aussie accents are beyond dreadful - for one thing they wander in and out of Australian accents through Liverpuddlian and South African, but the insistance that all sentences be shrill and end with a determined upward inflection renders serious dialogue comical, and makes the characters sound shallow and flippant. I know we do tend to have an upward inflection, but I assure you we can manage to leave it off truly serious matters, like death! Not all Australians sound like Paul Hogan or Dame Edna.
Otherwise, an excellent book, dealing sensitively with the many issues brought up by the Bali bombings, read by a superior narrator.
