Excellent book, poor reading

The book is excellent, I imagine it would be transformational for many. Once I got over the feeling that the methods were twee, their simplicity and effectiveness were impressive. In my opinion, for a book on letting oneself see others in a new and positive and compassionate light, the reader reads it as though bored and contemptuous of others, which entirely ruins the contents. I got the hard copy as an alternative.

Guideline for a loving long lasting relationship

It’s not only so beautifully written but also so so practical in our everyday lives, in our relationships.

The key is not only listening to the text but , really use it, apply it into our lives.

Together, we can do it :-)

Could be shorter

Good book but could be shorter - but the practical tips in the last chapter is one that I’ll keep on coming back to in the future

Full of practical advise

The book is full of practical advise on how to communicate mindfully. It is incredibly accessible. I wish I had heard/read this book years ago.

I also enjoyed the way the book was narrated. It made the book easy to listen to.

The narrator doesn’t sound sincere

I found it more difficult to digest than other Thich Nhat Hanh audiobooks because the narrator sounds like a performer rather than a Buddhist. It’s still a very useful guide though and full of wisdom.

Good book

It’s great book about how mindfulness can bring about better communication. It was very fast paced and clear. It could have had more tips for me in specific communication practices but that’s just me.
Overall great book.
