A luxury mountaintop chalet
The opportunity of a lifetime
Until guests start to disappear…

**The unmissable new thriller from the queen of the modern-day murder mystery.**

Snow is falling in the exclusive alpine ski resort of Saint Antoine, as the shareholders and directors of Snoop, the hottest new music app, gather for a make or break corporate retreat to decide the future of the company. At stake is a billion-dollar dot com buyout that could make them all millionaires, or leave some of them out in the cold.

The clock is ticking on the offer, and with the group irrevocably split, tensions are running high. When an avalanche cuts the chalet off from help, and one board member goes missing in the snow, the group is forced to ask - would someone resort to murder, to get what they want?

Melodrama

The story is overly melodramatic and it is very sweary. I don’t mind a bit of swearing but I found it annoying in the context of this story.

Highly recommended, all round 5 star!

I do enjoy Ruth Ware's books (especially her writing style and the various background settings to her books) so I started this book with very high expectations - and I'm delighted to say I was not disappointed. Once I started I could not stop listening, so beware if you think this is a book you can only listen to for a few hours a day. And I think this is definitely Imogen Church's best narration ever!

Mildly entertaining

I would definitely call myself a Ruth Ware fan after reading 3 of her books: One by one, The Turn of the Key and The Woman in Cabin 10. Although, I mostly enjoyed this book, it was my least favourite of the 3 by a long way.

A bit slow..didn’t really hold my attention

I found myself playing this book whilst cleaning or doing other tasks and wouldn’t bother pausing it if I left the room, which made little difference in following the story. Dragged on a bit.. Found the intro before each chapter of “ Snoop ID, snoopscribers etc” a bit tedious, as well as the constant descriptions of Liz’s emotions (“I felt a knot in my tummy; I couldn’t breathe from the nerves; I felt like my chest was being crushed etc etc”

A Snowy Mystery!

After reading The Death of Mrs.Westaway and Turn of the Key, both of which were very good, I was keen to see whether this new novel matched the previous ones, factoring in I was listening on audible this time round. Although it took a while to gain momentum, the storyline captured my attention and I loved the location, just perfect for chilly winter bedtime listens! I thought it was an intriguing plot and the characters were.full of life .Ruth Ware does not disappoint and I love her style of writing. In my opinion the reader did the novel justice enabling the listener to get to know the Ski party well.

Just fabulous!

Ruth Ware can do no wrong in my eyes, so, naturally, I pre-ordered this one and started to listen as soon as it dropped into my Audible library. It's a very modern whodunnit based around a group of people who all work for a company who developed a music social media app called Snoop. The Snoop team all visit a ski chalet in France, and one by one they die! Of course it's been done before but that doesn't make it any less entertaining.

The location is atmospheric - a ski chalet in the mountains with cosy fur throws and a crackling fire. Sounds idyllic until it gets cut off by a massive snowstorm and avalanche. There are quite a few characters and it took me a while to work out who was who. The story is told from the POV of Erin, the chalet hostess, and Liz, a socially awkward member of the Snoop team.

The book starts fairly slowly but then the pace picks up and I was thoroughly entertained and the ending had me holding my breath!

The book is narrated by the brilliant Imogen Church who brings it to life beautifully.

Five stars all round!

A fabulous book! Ruth Ware has become my favourite author, with the exception of Agatha Christie who will never be surpassed in my book! This one was truly fabulous, loads of twists and turns, suspense and intrigue. Although I guessed fairly early on who the perpetrator was, the excitement of the book meant that that detract from my enjoyment. I love books that tie up all loose ends and leave no question unanswered, and this book most definitely didthat. Well done Ruth, a truly fabulous novel. Can’t wait til your next one.

Compelling.

Once I started this book all I wanted to do was listen to it. Very clear concise descriptions of the ski resort. A company meet for a weeks conference in the chalet. One by one they disappear or die. Who is the murderer. Very cleverly written. I loved it.
