Summary
Brought to you by Puffin.
The fourth audiobook in Rick Riordan's The Trial of Apollo series.
Things are getting very bad, very fast, for Apollo . . .
The former God Apollo is having a pretty rough time of it. Well, for one thing, he's been turned into a human and banished from Olympus. And he's called Lester. But being an awkward mortal teenager is the least of his worries right now.
Though he and some of his friends have emerged from the Burning Maze, rescued the Oracle and lived to fight another day, they can't escape the tragedy that has befallen them, or the terrible trials still to face.
So, with heavy heart, Apollo (OK, Lester) and Meg have a triumvirate still to defeat, oracles to rescue, and prophecies to decipher, so that the world may be saved, and Lester may ascend into the heavens to become Apollo once again.
But, right now, Caligula is sailing to San Francisco to deal with Camp Jupiter personally, and they have to get there first. Failure would mean its destruction....

Good book
It was an interesting story and it was performed well. It wasn’t the best in the series though.

Rick Riordan never disappoints
Rick Riordan never disappoints! He is my 'J. K. Rowling' so to speak, having grown up with his books and after waiting over a year for this book and I listened to it all within 24 hours of buying it. Rick has an absolute talent for mixing humor and seriousness without either being overwhelming. I love that Apollo has embraced his humanity and realized that he wasn't as perfect as he thought when he was a God. He has truly changed for the better and I can only hope when the series comes to an end he truly will remember what it's like to be human. I await The Tower of Nero anxiously! I'll just have to reread the other series from start to finish again.

Amazing
In quarantine I’ve revisited the Percy Jackson series, Heroes of Olympus, listened to the Magnus Chase series, the Kane chronicles, and moved onto this. Every single one has been brilliant, and this has been no exception. It’s really gripping, and I can’t wait for the Tower of Nero to come out. 😌
I hadn’t liked the narrator very much in this book, but the story kept me going through

As good as it is, I feel it’s just ok
It’s fun to listen to and enjoyable but it’s not enough to say it’s one of my favourites, I want better pacing and would like more from Lavinia but overall it’s fun and nice to listen to
