Tristram has been many things in life. Among them, a musician, an actor, a freelance copywriter and editor, and a fencing coach. Now, he writes to contain the monsters, to tell the truth through the fantastical. Raised in the mountains of Colorado, where fell beasts lurked around every ridge and in every expanse of trees, and where every stick was a magical sword, he wound up in the fortress Los Angeles, where he was rescued by a brave warrior maiden who whisked him away to Oregon. There he now lives with his wife (the warrior maiden) and their two kids, enjoying hikes through mossy trees, rainy board game nights, and writing well into the ominous dark of the night. To pronounce Tristram correctly, simply put these two words together: Tryst ([trist] a clandestine meeting between lovers) + Rum (a hearty pirate’s drink). Combined you have TrystRum: a hearty drink for clandestine pirate lovers.
