Tracy Detz is the debut author of the children’s book No Fish For Charles. Her first endeavor received numerous awards, including the 2019 Literary Classics Book Awards Gold Medal for Humor and Seal of Approval and 1st place Royal Dragonfly Book Awards for picture books 5 and younger. No Fish For Charles is also available on Caribu, an exciting new app for families. In 2021 her second book, Valor & Victor and the Zombies from Earth received the Story Monsters Approved Book Award, and in December 2022 Royal Dragonfly Book Awards in Science and Technology. December 2022 Icky Berg: An Iceberg Tale published by Smarty Pants Magazine For Kids received the Royal Dragonfly Book Awards for audiobooks. Tracy owns and operates Forever Free Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities learn to ride by the way of the marvelous horse. She lives on a cozy farm nestled in the tiny town of Wales, Michigan with her husband, 6 horses, 3 dogs, and 2 cats. Her love of laughter, education, animals and the environment are the inspiration for her children’s books. To help children learn about the importance of education, social well being, animals and ecosystems in a fun, non preachy way. Tracy is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She presents to schools and libraries and has been a guest speaker on radio stations, appeared in children’s book blogs and author interviews.
