For many years Tim did institutional sales in banking and finance. In 1993, he attended his first Creative Problem Solving Institute, where he learned the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) process. Tim found the tools of CPS effective in his sales role, and began writing about the natural marriage between using creativity to solve problems and being a salesperson. In 1999, Tim moved to Europe and turned his avocation into his vocation and began facilitating CPS for clients. Tim actually likes de-constructing processes, especially human ones, like sales. This is always a hairy, snarly undertaking; which makes the next part sometimes even messier, running a values based comb through it. Each person has to arrive at their own definition, for example of what is good selling. All this writing and thinking led to Never Be Closing, co-authored with Tim Hurson. Tim also likes to write about his youth on the Irish Riviera (Boston's South Shore). Every family has its keepers of stories and Tim seems to be it in his family. So the stories are finding the page. Watch out family!
