Thomas was born and raised in New York City, an area called Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan. His parents had four sons living in a poor, sometimes dangerous neighborhood. Growing up extremely introverted, he used written words to express his feelings and emotions. His timidness and life experiences allowed him to see things differently. In his writings, Thomas draws from those times to shed light on issues such as bullying, assault, discrimination, and depression, all of which he has endured. Under the shroud of a murder mystery story, there is passion and understanding of people’s life choices. In his novels, Thomas wants his readers to feel the possibilities of hope as life intended.
