Summum Bonum Amen Ra (1944-2008) also known as "Corky" Ra, founded Summum, a non-profit philosophical and religious organization back in 1975. It followed an encounter he had with advanced beings he called the "Summa Individuals." The purpose of Summum was to share with others the information he received from his encounter and to provide an environment for those on a genuine path of spiritual development. In 1979, Corky along with volunteer supporters of Summum, constructed a three story pyramid which, to this day, is used to teach others about the Summum Philosophy. The pyramid is also used to create Summum's "Nectar Publications," sacraments containing alcohol that are used in a specialized practice of meditation. Through Summum, Corky re-introduced mummification in a modern form, and the mummification rites practiced by Summum have received international attention. When Corky passed away, he was mummified according to Summum's precepts. His body is encased inside a bronze sarcophagus covered in gold where it currently rests inside Summum's pyramid.
