Steve Physioc is an Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster and acclaimed fiction author whose storytelling career spans nearly five decades. Best known for his 35 years as a Major League Baseball play-by-play announcer, he brought games to life for fans of the Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles/California Angels, San Francisco Giants, and Cincinnati Reds, as well as for national NFL, NBA, and NCAA broadcasts on ESPN, Fox Sports, and TBS. After retiring from broadcasting in 2022, Steve turned his passion for vivid, emotional storytelling toward fiction. His novels include The Walls of Lucca and Above the Walls—both Gold Medal winners for Best Historical Fiction from Readers’ Favorite and Reader Views—Walks with the Wind, winner of the Grand Prize in the Writer’s Digest Self-Published Book Awards, and Catching the Wind, a BookLife Editors’ Pick. Steve lives in Colorado, with his wife, Stacy, and loves spending time with their children and grandchildren.
