I work from a barn in a coastal Maine village, assisted by two cats and surrounded by Rome-related artifacts and pictures—great inspiration for ROMA AMOR, AMBER ROAD, and a third novel now in the works. I’ve always been a writer, first on a magazine, then at an advertising agency, and eventually as owner of my own copywriting business. Over the years I've co-written seven nonfiction books, many of them with "money therapist" Olivia Mellan. But all the while, I was working on a novel about Ancient Rome. Revising it. Rewriting it.
