Nearing the ninth anniversary of the release of her groundbreaking series: A Boss Chic: A Love Story, Shantay steps back into the literary world. After starting her writing career as a senior in high school, life came running at full speed. Not knowing how to manage her academics and a deep passion for writing became a struggle to keep her mental afloat. However, she soon graduated high school and continued releasing novels that all charted on Amazon’s Best Sellers list. Going from a young teen to an adult became a big adjustment. While the world around her was still moving, she stayed in her creative bubble to write her novels. Eventually, she needed a mental break to regain her peace, taking more time than expected. She felt like a stranger to the world she once loved so much during that time. Part of learning who the woman is she had grown to be, also came with learning the new author she had grown into. After a long-awaited return, Shantay returned with heat under her pen and a clear mind to take back on her characters. In these years, she learned to be her authentic self and be honest about her scars. The beginning years were hard being a young adult. It took time and growing to understand and appreciate the gift she is blessed with. All of her accolades are just a mere sprinkle of her plans for the future.
