Sarah is a hockey mom, entrepreneur, and mental health advocate. She is the Founder and President of the Sylvain Routhier Memorial Foundation (www.Sylvainrouthierfoundation.com ), the Vice President of OPP Beyond the Blue (www.oppbeyondtheblue.com) , and sits on many committees including the OPP Commissioner’s Healthy Workplace Advisory Group, and the Ontario Heroes in Life Memorial. Sarah spent her career advocating for Drowning Prevention as an Aquatics Coordinator, as well as teaching part-time at various Colleges, however, she changed her career focus in the last couple of years to make her three kids, Jacob, Nicholas, and Emily her main priority. Sarah wrote this book to share her very raw story to raise awareness about suicide and mental health illnesses in first responders. Her goal is to prevent this tragedy from occurring to other families and to make change within first responder organizations. Sarah currently lives in Belleville, Ontario with her new husband and their combined five kids. In her free time, she can be found at the hockey rink watching her kids or at her trailer in Prince Edward County.
