I was born to be a writer... That's what I always felt. So it was, as a small child learning my words, that I'd imitate my father's grown-up, joined up-hand-writing - creating wobbly, meaningless versions of my own. I graduated onto scribbling poems and stories which were vaguely coherent, before graduating again - THIS time in English Literature, at University. My other obsession in life was people watching. At the age of 11 I started reading psychology books, and would peer over their pages on the bus ride to school, checking out the other passengers, trying to read THEM, too. Somehow I managed to combine BOTH in my corporate career as a Human Resources expert: managing people, whilst crafting precisely written policies and perfectly polished letters. I continued to write stories and business books (outside of work), although I kept them to myself. In my 40s I had a happy mid-life crisis, took a pause from the Corporate world and trained as a life and business coach. At the same time I became a Director of the Women's Personal Development community 'Damsels in Success' (now known as Simply Sisterhood), running groups in England and Scotland for over 5 years. Nervously, in February 2012 I began a blog called 'Peachey Letters', setting myself the challenge of writing a 'love letter to life', every day of that Valentine month. Suddenly my words were reaching a worldwide audience and what came back to me to was a huge wave of positive feedback. My first book of the same name was published a year later, and in 2015 it achieved finalist status in the International Book Awards. I co-authored my second book 'The F-Factor' as a blueprint for entrepreneurial women to have success with ease, in all areas of their life. I also continue to write blogs, fiction and non-fiction books.
