Welcome to my Amazon author page. I used to love writing stories as a child, and could often be found 'binding' my books with staples or sticky tape, then illustrating them with shakily drawn creatures, usually of the magical variety. Music took over my life for a long time - I learnt the piano and violin, then various other instruments as I grew up. A music degree, then drama school followed. I spent years as an actor-musician, performing in theatre shows, including in the West End and Edinburgh Fringe. Alongside this was always music teaching, privately and in schools. But in the background, the writing lingered. My magical animals wouldn't go away, and I found myself penning a middle grade fantasy in fits and starts, over a ten year period. Finishing this book and taking a couple of courses reignited my love of writing, and when my second child was born and I found myself less able to audition and perform and rehearse, writing was my creative outlet. This is when I realised I wanted to write psychological thrillers. 'The Perfect Guest' is my debut novel, and I was thrilled to be offered a publishing deal with Black & White. This book was a lot of fun to write, and the protagonist is very dear to me - despite her obsessive tendencies and bad decision making! This is a twisty thriller about jealousy and belonging, set in luxurious surroundings, and is a perfect summer holiday read. I really hope you enjoy it!
