Rick Bloomer has been conducting clinical research for the past 15 years and is considered a world leading expert in the study of nutrition, exercise, and dietary supplementation to improve human health. He received his PhD from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is currently a Professor and Director of the Cardiorespiratory/Metabolic Laboratory at The University of Memphis. An active researcher, having published well over 100 peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts and book chapters related to dietary intake, exercise, and nutraceuticals, he began investigating the health-related benefits of the Daniel Fast in 2009.
