With over 25 years of experience as a psychologist, my journey began as a diagnostician, primarily assessing children. However, I eventually discovered my true passion lies in working with adults dealing with various psychiatric disorders and traumatic brain injuries. My interest in mental health was ignited at a very young age, growing up amidst family members with a multitude of afflictions including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. This personal experience fueled my curiosity about the workings of the human brain and its profound influence on our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Observing the polarizing reactions to Donald Trump's entry into the political arena, my partner and I found ourselves intrigued. We embarked on a quest to understand the mindset of the left, delving into the reasons and motivations behind what appeared to be a phenomenon of irrational behavior now coined as "Trump Derangement Syndrome." The process of writing this book has ignited a passion to further explore and research how contemporary cultural phenomena impacts the American way of life. Current projects include research on the use of multispectral imaging to help identify malingering, interviewing for our new book The Alpha Male, and on tour meeting great American's discussing TDS. When I'm not immersed in analysis, research, or writing, I relish the physical challenges of CrossFit, running, biking, and hiking through the breathtaking landscapes of the Rocky Mountains. In order to decompress, I find solace and rejuvenation swimming and kayaking in the serene waters of Florida.
