Rachel qualified as a doctor and worked in the NHS for twenty years before her first novel was published in 2011. Her most recent books are THE HOUSE OF ECHOES and A PARTING OF THE WAYS. She has also written two books as Rachel Hancox. Her novels have been praised as 'a delight of a read' by Fay Weldon, 'the very best sort of fiction' by Juliet Nicolson and 'witty and empathetic' by Country Life. Rachel has five children, three scruffy dogs and a cat. When she's not writing, she spends her time singing, knitting and gardening. She lives in Oxford with her husband and youngest children and is on Facebook as Rachel Crowther - the knitting novelist.
