USS Alcatraz is the first of three hard boiled thrillers charting the bloody rise and fall of Carson Baine, the deranged heir of a vast global corporation as he attempts to bury his past and become President of the United States. I really wanted to write the kind of book I wanted to read: modern day pulp fiction. Though the title is 'USS Alcatraz', don't expect a submarine thriller. The story jumps from the US to the Arctic, from Afghanistan to Barbados.
