Patrick worked in advertising with some of the most globally recognised agencies and brands. Prior to that he served in the military. With an enduring fascination for military history, and spurred on by two lockdowns, he took to writing stories. His debut WW2 aviation thriller is called 'The Lightning and The Few,' and tells the story of Jox McNabb, a Scottish schoolboy who earns his wings in his country's hour of need. The Jox McNabb series continues with 'The Raiders and the Cross' following Jox through the furnace of the Blitz and the siege of Malta. 'The Maple and the Blue' sees him involved with the tragic raid on Dieppe, before heading back to the Mediterranean. The fourth book of the series, 'The Vulcan and the Straits' sees Jox and No. 111 Squadron involved in Operation Torch, the invasion of Vichy North Africa and then Operation Husky, the invasion of Sicily. Book Five, 'the Wire and the Lines' covers the Invasion of Italy and is published in February 2025. Patrick's first stand-alone novel was published in October 2024 and is a paranormal military thriller called 'The Brookwood Boys.' It tells the story of restless ghosts in a military cemetery and explores the tragic legacy of war on the living and the dead. A further stand-alone novel about a main character's previous lives as different soldiers is expected for publication in 2025. For more info, please check out Patrick's author website.
