Myrna Ventura Thibault was born in the lush paradise of San Juan, Puerto Rico. She loved growing up in one of the most beautiful and culturally rich places in the world. Art and dance have always been a major part of Myrna’s life. Transplanted to Texas in the 80s, first San Antonio and then Laredo, Myrna pursued her dance training and performing career with master teachers. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Dance from The University of Texas at Austin, and then made a home in Austin where she performed and choreographed as a contemporary modern dance artist. Myrna was an educator for both public and private schools in South Austin, teaching dance technique to all age groups. She also taught business software skills to adults and the elderly at Pearson, the largest training center in the region. Moving to North Texas Myrna returned to her dancing career this time as a flamenco dancer, she created commissioned artwork for commercial spaces in town and returned to the public school system this time as a substitute teacher. She has written several blogs, loves to experiment with all types of art genres such as photography, film, painting, dance, and performance. Myrna created and produced La Batalla Podcast, available on Apple Podcast and loves all things dance, yoga, sci-fi and storytelling whether it be in film or written form. She lives in Central Texas with her children and husband and hopes to continue to write and create art.
