My name is Ann Dry and I was born in Scotland. When I was little I moved from pillar to post and ended up settling in a small country town in the deep south of Western Australia. Educated in a catholic school I used some of the settings from my home and schooldays to write my first novel, along with my husband. This adventure has been an insight into our vivid imaginations not to mention a steep learning curve. Our novel is called Destined and went on sale on the 8th of December 2014. We would love to hear some reviews, as I believe we have a lot to learn. Any comments would be very welcome. Brian Dry, born in Victoria Park Western Australia, the third child of Joyce and Ngati. His childhood, spent picking fruit, running with horses, sheep, and on rare occasions milking their sole cow, Doris. Their property, forty five kilometers east of Perth was fifty five acres with eight acres of fruit trees. Leaving school at fifteen he followed in his grandfather's career of printer as a apprentice and later a tradesman. With the passage of years and a changed era, added to advancements in technology, he never settled with printing as his lifelong work goal. On a whim and a full page advertisement in the West Australian newspaper he went back to school and graduated in a caring career as a Registered nurse. Thirty years on, a family of his own, and a need to write down what made him who he was, he wrote of people he held so dear. His parents.
