Mike Avitabile is an American author. Born and raised in New England, he moved to Los Angeles at 22. He has held over 30 different jobs in his life, from deli slicer to Emmy Award-winning editor. He lowkey thinks this makes him interesting. His previous works include the critically acclaimed 2018 novel The Whale in the Cave, his 2013 literary debut A Rum Truck, and an adapted children’s picture book, The Whale in the Crib. He currently lives in Venice, California.
