Michael grew up in Oregon and graduated from CSU San Marcos with a business degree in 2010. During college, he often questioned why practical topics like money management, understanding credit, home ownership, and early retirement weren't emphasized more. After graduating, Michael took it upon himself to learn personal finance and success habits. He spent six years at Yelp, rising from account manager to a top sales position, while discovering his passion for writing through his first blog. In 2017, he left his corporate job to pursue writing and professional golf. Since then, Michael has become a top freelance writer, started two businesses, and competed in hundreds of amateur golf events.
