The author spent her childhood in a small village in the Estonian countryside, surrounded by nature. Her love towards the world and art took her to live abroad in cosy villages in Italy, France and Spain and busy cities like London, Paris and NYC which eventually directed her to the path of working with a yoga and art therapy for children. In that process, the children’s brand Bubble Bee by Merily was born. It was then that Merily knew she needed to write a book inspired by her own childhood and passion for life, to help the readers, both young and adult, find themselves and learn to live in harmony with their emotions. From the author "I believe in a miraculous and playful world, where imagination is everything and through which understanding and thoughts about the world begin and can be explored and developed. My philosophy in life is that life can be viewed as a wonderful, colourful art project – a source of all-encompassing and never ending inspiration, limited only by our own imaginations. I have found the opportunity to combine my creativity and my personality in my life, and to follow my passions. I have created the Bubble Bee story world. A world in which children can discover and become friends with the secretive, magical Bubble Bees. Through a gentle voyage of discovery in the safe, compassionate, fun and stimulating world of the Bubble Bees, children can explore and develop their natural sincerity and playfulness, thinking about the world from a wholesome perspective. As the creative director of Bubble Bee story world, my hope is that the world of the Bubble Bees will provide children with joy and inspiration to explore their own creativity, with gentle self development, which can help serve as a guide to the real world."
