McKenna Boyd (1942-) Hello everyone. My name is Elizabeth Reed. My author name is McKenna Boyd. The reason I am using McKenna Boyd as my author name, is to honor my maternal grandparents who I loved very much. My grandmother's name was Annie McKenna and my grandfather was named James Archibald Boyd. I was born in Northern Ireland in a small town named Maghera in Co. Derry. I lived in a few different cities including Belfast, London, and Dublin, until in my mid-twenties I moved to the USA. While I was in school, I was encouraged by every English teacher I had, to write either short stories or a novel.
