Matilda Gosling is a social scientist and independent researcher with a particular interest in social psychology. She also researches issues affecting children and young people, including education and child development. She has worked for a variety of governments, charities, foundations and businesses, and has overseen field research in more than 60 countries across Europe, Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa and South-East Asia. She previously co-founded an international social research consultancy, which she ran for 12 years before moving into independent writing and research. Evidence-Based Parenting was her first book, published in January 2024. Her second book, Teenagers: The Evidence Base, will be published on 30 January 2025. These relatable books translate research findings into insights and actionable ideas for parents and other interested adults. Matilda has degrees from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics. She lives in Brighton with her partner and two teenagers. She can be found on X and Substack @matildagosling.
