Margie Deck lives in the Pacific Northwest where she is at work on a new collection of Gothic stories. Belanger Books published two of her previous collections in December 2023: 'The Genius of the Place', original gothic tales inspired by Arthur Conan Doyle’s works published in The Strand Magazine, and a collection of Sherlock Holmes adventures, 'With Remarkable Cunning'. She has twice earned Doylean Honors in Fiction & Poetry from the ACD Society: In January 2023 for the short story "Whitney's Reflection" and in January 2025 for 'The Genius of the Place'. She is co-editor with Nancy Holder of 'Sherlock Holmes of Baking Street'. She is also co-editor with Nancy Holder of the ACD Society's "The Terror of Blue John Gap" manuscript annotation project. Her short stories and essays have been published by The Strand Magazine, Belanger Books, Wildside Press, and others.
