Author, Madeline Bailey, primary works with entrepreneurs. She's an Senior Accountant, Business Analyst, and QuickBooks Software Expert, with a background as a PC techie. The book was born out of her work with clients, and desire to help those who could not afford her fees, including non-profit managers. Everyone can afford $20 or a library card. Madeline realized that once she had discovered a way to systematize accounting procedures in a way that was easily understandable to a variety of unlikely entrepreneurial clients, she could teach everyone if she took time to organize the information into a book. She spent one year thinking about her ideas, three years writing and editing the book, and one more year having it published. Very few books make money so that was not her expectation. Rather, she wanted to improve the US social economy, and contribute to the world of scientific advancement. All proceeds from the book are donated to charity. Her consulting firm, QC Computing LLC, based in the greater Seattle, WA, USA area, serves clients all over the English-speaking world for a minimum of 4 hours per session. Madeline and her assistant bookkeeper support all versions of QuickBooks including Enterprise, Desktop, Online, Premier, and Mac. Madeline is called a "fixer" because mostly she is called upon to fix whatever hot mess the client has going on now. She creates a structured filing system, problem-free accounting environment, QB streamlined setup, with understandable financial reports, and eventually a bookkeeping system that a normal bookkeeper can maintain in a few hours a month. It really can be simple. The goal of everyone at QC Computing is to be light workers, empowering private business owners to make more profit, so that their dreams can become reality.
