M. Ganendran began writing as a child and hasn't stopped since, except for tea breaks, naturally. She is still rather proud of winning school prizes when she was ten for Creative Writing and Imagination, thanks to various English homework submissions involving colourful elephants, moles living on the moon, and a megalomaniac slug. More recently, she has been shortlisted for several short story and flash fiction competitions. She now writes mystery and adventure novels for children and young adults, often with a hint of the historical and supernatural. In her spare time, she enjoys walks in nature, mindfulness, meditation and reiki. She also has Crohn's Disease which inspired her to write Sim's Magic Windmill, where the young heroine lives with this condition too, but doesn't let it stop her saving the world... She has worked with her husband P. Ganendran on several joint projects including The Porcelain Cat; a Victorian murder mystery, and No Albatrosses Allowed; a book of fiendish lateral thinking puzzles.
