Luke Duffy was born in 1977 in England. At the age of 18 he joined the Parachute Regiment and after leaving in early 2005, he worked in Iraq on the Private Security Circuit, providing close protection for civilian and military contractors in hostile environments. His first book 'Running the Gauntlet: The Private War in Iraq', detailing his memoirs from his time on the circuit, was first published in 2011. 'When there's no more room in Hell', which is the first of a three part post-apocalyptic saga, is his second book to be published and is available from Severed Press. The second and third books in the series are also now available. 'The Dead Walk the Earth', is a second series of four books that run concurrently to 'When there's no more room in Hell'. The story follows a group of elite, but deniable, operatives as they struggle to survive in a world that seems to be doing all that it can to destroy them. Since finishing 'The Dead Walk the Earth' series, he has began working on a number of children's books, including 'The Lonely Bean' and 'Tommy the Toe-Taster'.
