Louise Kelly, PhD is Professor of Management and Leadership at the University of La Verne, La Verne, CA. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland, grew up in Montreal, Canada and started her academic career in Boston at Northeastern Univ. She moved to Southern California in 2000 and presently lives in Los Angeles in the Hollywood Hills with her husband and Rhodesian Ridgeback, Duke. She has written five books, 25 articles, and over a hundred conference papers. Dr. Kelly is passionate about the power of management and leadership to change the world for the better and is a champion of women leadership, innovation leadership, social entrepreneurship and the role of mindfulness in transforming organizations and helping all to find their "flow" or intrinsic motivation. She has consulted extensively in developing countries such as Canada, U.S., Vietnam, Kenya, Guatemala, El Salvador, Mexico and Germany. She is fluent in Spanish and French. She believes that business can be an effective means of bringing about social change.
