Lori-Ann Drecketts was born and raised in Jamaica. At age 18, she immigrated to the United States to attend college where she majored in English. During this time, she felt like essays were too rigid and it stifled her creativity. That being said, she enjoys reemerging and reigniting her creative writing flame. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading novels, watching classic movies, writing songs, and singing.
