Born and raised in Nottingham, UK, Lisa Newton moved to London to study Accounting with Marketing at Middlesex University. Graduating with a first class honours degree, she went on to do a MSc in Investment Management at City University. In the same month of the Masters graduation ceremony at City, Lisa formed her first company Boogles Bookkeeping with £150. (Her mum put in £50, and Lisa used £100 of her overdraft). Boogles primarily began as a bookkeeping service to small, busy individuals, charities and companies in the London & Nottingham area. Boogles has since expanded, and moved into other markets - such as bookkeeping franchise, bookkeeping training courses and products such as computer maths games for children. A strong supporter of women in business and entrepreneurial people, Lisa is an Ambassador for Enterprise UK, the national campaign to give people in the UK confidence, skills and ambition to be enterprising - to have ideas and make them happen. Lisa supports the charity The MS Society. And has won various awards in business. Lisa is currently the Finance Director of various UK companies which operate in industries as diverse as marketing, health and beauty, property management and publishing. Several of the authors titles are available as audiobooks and have been translated into different languages. An avid net-worker, Lisa has a network marketing business. She enjoys meeting people and working on projects with like-minded individuals. Lisa runs workshops on Cosmic Ordering and runs online group coaching sessions for those who want to write a book in two weeks. Lisa also coaches individuals on Money Management and runs a savings club. Lisa has courses online for writing a book, how to create wealth and various other topics. Lisa enjoys travelling, learning languages (mainly Spanish & French), drinking red wine and dancing salsa. Lisa is also the host of The Authors Podcast - see the blog post to listen in.
