Laurick, also known as the Give and Save Guy, embodies the Give and Save 3-6-5 Concept of creating prosperity through philanthropy. Each week he recognizes a person or organization doing good in the community and the world. He donates then requests others donate to help these people and organizations continue their good works. For every dollar he gives, he saves an equal amount to better himself and his family. He believes people can grow their giving through faith and grow their faith through saving. The United Nations Association (Broward Chapter) honored him for his efforts to eradicate poverty. He has been interviewed on radio and television and has been mentioned on more than 100 journals and publications. He lives in South Florida with his wife, Kim, and their two sons, Joshua and Jawanza. Laurick was the youngest of 11 children and grew up in the James E. Scott Housing Projects of Liberty City. He graduated from Miami Central High School (Go Rockets!), then worked his way through Miami-Dade College, earning a degree in Business Administration. He is a long-time member of Polaris Investment Club (West Palm Beach, Florida), which is a Chapter of Better Investing.
