I was born and raised in Hocking County, Ohio. I grew up in the 1950's and was raised on a farm in southeastern Ohio in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. I currently live in the Hocking Hills area which is a popular hiking and camping area. I enjoy working in my yard, reading, writing, drawing and painting. I must admit that most of my enjoyment comes from spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy hiking and going for rides on old country roads, which we have plenty of. My interest in writing goes back to some intriguing stories my grandmother told. Her stories aroused my interest in American and Ohio history.
