Kristi is a native of California and a transplant to the mountains of West Virginia. Her perspective offers a seamless merging of city and mountain life. She received a bachelor of liberal studies from California State University, Bakersfield, a master of science in marriage and family therapy from California State University, Northridge, and a doctorate of psychology with an emphasis in forensics from Argosy University of Orange. She has worked in the mental health field for over twenty-five years. Dr. Dumas is recognized as a qualified expert witness and routinely provides court testimony on the local, state, and federal levels. Kristi and her husband own Dumas Psychology Collective, a licensed behavioral health center, and The Brain Training Center WV, a wellness center that offers neurofeedback and yoga. Dr. Dumas is a forensic psychologist by day and a creative dreamer by night. The abrupt closing of the businesses during the pandemic left her feeling stuck and questioning her life’s purpose. The pandemic taught her many valuable lessons. Perhaps the most important lesson is that you can experience positive forward momentum without a perfectly calculated plan. Kristi found the value in taking risks. She learned to make moves afraid. Find out more about Kristi at www.dumaspsychologycollective.com
