I am a British crime writer from Yorkshire, England. I love reading, vintage scooters and all things 60s. I write pacy, contemporary crime, where the theme drives the action. This quote, from a reader of my second novel With Menaces, is music to my ears:- "This had me hooked! Great storyline with plenty of twists. Written well and lots of detail so you feel like you're in the book." Promises, Promises is my debut novel and Book One in the Detective Inspector Alan Wardell series. (Book Two—With Menaces and Book 3—Beyond Absolution). I live with my partner Christine a retired Business Development Manager. Christine loves to write, work leather, keep fit and read crime fiction. Together, we co-wrote NOT MINE TO TAKE and NOT HERS TO TAKE – psychological thrillers published in June 2021. I write in my man-shed – a gym cum office. Or, when the cabin fever bites, I take off to find a view over open water in my motorhome. My favourite authors include Elmore Leonard, Harlan Coben, Dean Koontz, Lee Child, Minette Walters and Jeffrey Deaver.
